I have been to Pichet a couple of times before and enjoyed it both times. My friends were wondering where to go for a friends 50th birthday and I suggested Pichet. Some of them had never been so it was agreed.
We were seated near to the entrance to the main dining room. Oddly enough this is where I was seated the previous time I dined there. I wasnt mad about the table at first as you could feel the breeze from outside every time someone left or entered the restaurant. However it calmed down after a time and it wasnt a bother in the end.
We ordered some Prosecco to start and our waitress was quick to bring this. She looked after us well the whole evening bringing bread and extra glassware etc.
we all enjoyed our food a lot. I had lobster with gnocchi and chorizo in a broth- tasty- and loin of lamb for my mains-again excellent. I tasted a bit of everyone’s and the steak one of my pals was eating was gorgeous. I don’t often order steak when I’m out but I would be tempted by this dish.
I had a Manhattan to finish with an espresso- both were super. The desserts looked lovely and the espresso martini that someone ordered was very good. Overall it was a lovely experience. It’s expensive to eat in Pichet, so I feel it more of an occasion restaurant. We paid just under €500 for three bottles of wine, six starters, six mains, two cocktails, three desserts and four coffees. I enjoyed it do much I sent two different friends who were celebrating a birthday and am anniversary there the following week.
