I found a bedbug in late January and called Terminix because it is a well known name, and one that I thought I could trust. A tech came out on 1/29 for an inspection and said low level bedbug infestation. He told me all I had to do was pull furniture away from the wall 6 inches for prep. He told me not to worry about the spare room in my apartment since I don’t spend much time in there and that the treatment would be done and then I would have a follow up in 2 weeks time. I agreed and they scheduled me for the next day treatment. However, when the tech got here for my initial treatment on 1/30 he told me I was supposed to have done other prep work and that it’s normal to treat the whole house – spare room included. He also let me know the follow up was 3 weeks and not 2. After I let him know what the other person said the day prior I left and he called me afterwards telling me they didn’t find anything but did the treatment and the follow up would be in 3 weeks. I downloaded the report and found he marked me as uncooperative even though I told him the difference in communication. I called customer service about this and they took a note on my account. There was no further communication about setting up a date and time for follow up until 2/18 when customer service called me and asked if I was aware I had an appointment in 2 days time on 2/20. I informed them I was not aware but that I would make it work. A different tech came out on 2/20 and did an inspection in about 10 minutes and said I was in the clear and to call if anything happens. About a week and a half after that I woke up with bedbug bites again. I called him on 3/1 in the morning and he asked me to send him my information so he can get me scheduled. I text him after hanging up the phone, but received no acknowledgement and nothing about scheduling an appointment. I called customer service that evening and let them know about this. They marked it as urgent for someone to contact me regarding scheduling and asked if there was a day or time that was best. I let them know that I could NOT do Wednesday afternoons. The rep took note and said someone would contact me in the next 24-48 hours about scheduling. No one ever contacted me. Monday morning 3/4 I logged into my online account and saw I had an appointment for today, Wednesday 3/6, between 12 and 2 with the technician that had marked me uncooperative. I called customer service as this was the exact opposite of what I asked. They told me they had no other appointments this week, so I rearranged my life to make this work. I asked if they could be here at 12 at least and she put in a note on my account to get here as close to 12 as possible. At 1:30 today the tech text me to let me know he wouldn’t be here until between 2:30 and 3 since he was running behind.I called customer service again as this is COMPLETELY unacceptable at this point. Their answer? “I’m glad it wasn’t a cancelation.” UNBELIEVABLE. They made a note again in my account and apologized for my experience thus far. The rep also stated I would get a 2 question survey after the call via text and I have not received that either. All of this for $1,150! Save your money and find a local business. Terminix robs you, strings you along, and doesn’t actually get rid of your bedbug problem. NEVER AGAIN.

Follow up 3/11 – Service Manager called this morning and talked through my complaint.
