Immediate welcomes and greeting from staff upon entry when we walked in during our Hop on Hop off tour of Dublin. We felt underdressed at first but realized the environment was welcoming regardless. We had just missed the lunch special deal (3 courses for €28) so we went for traditional dishes.
We ordered the chef special, Lamb Cutlets which was cooked to a perfect medium and so tender and flavorful. We definitely ate them to the bone. We also ordered the pork belly with charred cabbage. I’ve never had a pork belly until Pichet and WOW. The meat was succulent and the fat from the belly just melts in your mouth like a sweet caramel. The cabbage was a great texture and compliment to the meal.
When we left, everyone gave a pleasant farewell and thanked us for dining in. That was so sweet because although we had one server, they all stopped to thank us when we left. Our bill was steep but well worth it’s money for the decadent and style of cooking.
