I met a few friends a Pichet on Sunday for a pre-movie brunch. To start we ordered a few lattes and a pitcher of Bloody Marys. Both were served in pretty glasses and tasted quite nice. At first sip we thought they MUST have forgotten the vodka but part-way through glass two we were proven wrong!

After a while our mains came out and everything was beautifully presented. I had the rump steak with poached eggs and duck fat potatoes. The steak had a lovely rub on the outside and was perfectly pink on the inside. It was really delicious and went so well with the potatoes and egg. My friends had a variety of dishes from the fried chicken, to the green asparagus, and the poached eggs. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes but the friend chicken looked especially delicious.

We had ordered the brioche French toast to share at the end but by the time we got through our food, we were really full and as luck would have it, they forgot to bring it to our table any way. Pichet isn’t the speediest place for brunch but the food was excellent and they have several mains at the €10 – €12 mark. If you don’t mind spending a tiny bit more though I would highly recommend the rump steak. Will return!
