Amazed to see how long it is since I last reviewed Pichet. Since then it has gone through a change in ownership and was closed for a while before reopening last year I believe. Oddly enough, very little has actually changed. The food is still excellent, the service is very good and the ambience just right. On a recent visit my companion and I both had steak – he likes it medium-well and I like it medium-rare – and both were served exactly as it said on the tin. I had had mussels to start which would have been good enough on their own as a main. A very pleasant Fleurie accompanied the discussion righting all the wrongs of the world which continued with a brace of Baileys afterwards. Really very, very good. I’ll be back.
